I like the concept of a database lacking site, but the image management isn’t up to what I know from wordpress… I ponder to switch… just FYI.

FS22 Railroad on Back Country 4x (Village)

Welcome to my FS22 RailRoad
This Blog will eventually document the proceedings on my FS22 RailRoad. The goal is the creation of a virtual model railroad in Farming Simulator 22 (FS22). In case you shouldn’t already know, there is a brilliant mod by jweezy that allows for custom rail operation on any FS22 map. I just discovered that mod and since I am a model railroader by heart, I had to try that. And I am hooked.
So, what’s to expect?
First, I need to get to know the mod. This will take place on the well known No Man’s Land map FS22 with the Flat No Man’s Land savegame loaded. This gives me a pleasant sandbox to play with. The images on this post are from the flat no man’s land map.
You can find the mods here: https://jweezy-construction.itch.io/
Already on the first day, I noticed, there ssems to be a limit on the number of railcars that can be coupled together. The maximum I managed is 11 cars. But with the long autoracks, ints no more than 6 cars, so it seems there is a radius or maximum range, at which copling cars is possible. However, as soon as that is exceeded once there is an odd behaviour. The respective cars become unusable, as they can’t be coupled again.
Well, if only I knew how to render the current editing state of the map as a map…
Other maps I looked into
I wanted to experiment with elevation and bridges across map-features that are not purchasable, like the Giants Railway lines or the highways on most maps. Good news. If you own properties on both sides of the existing railway or highway, youcan elevate the land on both sides and cross the gap with the railroad bridge, which spans approximately 70 metres.
